It was a full house of building industry professionals on December 10, 2009 in Walnut Creek. The Katz Roadshow with Gary Katz, sponsored by Dolan's, drew 175 builders, contractors, carpenters and apprentices for a day-long clinic, "Finish Carpentry." New challenges continue to create revolutionary products in the construction industry and in turn, these innovations require different tools and new techniques. One of the missions of Dolan's is to provide industry members throughout the Bay Area with informative and meaningful seminars and clinics. The professionals who attended this event learned about advanced, time-saving professional carpentry techniques for quality results.
After a hot breakfast and plenty of coffee, the areas covered included trouble-free exterior trim, replacement windows, installing historic architectural trim, bookshelves and built-ins, and conquering crown molding.
Gary Katz is a contributing editor to Fine Homebuilding Magazine, a frequent contributor to the Journal of Light Construction, and a presenter at JLC Live, the Remodelers Show, IBS, NRLA, Builder's Trade and other national training shows. He has spend nearly thirty years at his craft and is the author of two prominent books.
